Hi all.

Just dropping by to say that this weeks comic will be a bit late. I’ve been feeling sick all weekend, and my dentist told me to stop stressing since the stress is causing me to grind my teeth in my sleep so badly that I have a muscle inflammation in my jaw muscles…

I never thought my jaw would be the first thing to stop functioning from stress ^^;

Oh well. There will be a comic up this week, I just don’t know when.

The text archive now has what is likely to be the final design. I’m not sure if it needs any more code touchups.

No texts have actually been added yet, so you don’t have to rush there yet. We have a method for htmlizing them, we just have to apply it to all of them, and then some slight modifications may have to be done as well. Stay tuned. We’re even throwing in a few stories that’s been removed from canon. The “Year” fields will be filled in once we’ve agreed on a timeline.

As for me, this means I’ll likely cease putting my stories up on That Other Site, and releasing them directly here.

Symphony will come in several parts. First to be released here – from me, at least – will likely be my side project, Navigation, though. Should be interesting.

So, we’re getting closer to making this site hold everything about Next Era (the wiki is, for all intents and purposes, regarded to be a part of this site). We still lack some things – a gallery is in the planning phases, and some other pages that already exist aren’t finalized. I’m also going to look into designing some character skins for the page.

One year and ten months since we bought the two-year hosting plan, and we’re not done yet. We’re awesome.

Also, we still have an IRC channel, if there’s any other person reading this site and using IRC. Server’s irc.dynastynet.net, channel’s #next-era. Pop in and say hi.

Yesterday I and my boyfriend took of to DreamHack Winter 2008, a three hour long drive, but oh so worth it. I had talked Kenny into going there with us, so he jumped on a train and met us there.
We got there around 11.30, had to walk a long walk to get to the entrance (which apparently was on the other side of the building) in the freezing cold, yes it was cold outside! XD
But of course, once we got warm pretty fast. over 10 000 computers does give off alot of heat don’t they?

So what did we do all day? I’m gonna try to sum it up here.
First we just checked around, not doing anything special. Meeting up with some old classmates of mine, Linda and Henrik, surprisingly bumping into Erenius, just catching up with each other.
I also ran into some guys from the ShortFuse team and talked some to them, darn nice guys really! But they seemed to stalk us later since we met them at a take out restaurant at the station, which is a 15 minute drive from DH.

We also began a freebie hunt! Muahaha, freebies makes me happy. I got alot of things :3 Kenny also succeeded with a pretty neat task. The entrance fee was 100 SEK, but he managed to find 101,50 SEK on the floor at DH haha.

My boyfriend ran of to PC City and bought a processor and a motherboard, and during that time, me and Kenny talked alot about NE, good ideas and .. less appropriate ideas. He also managed to convince me which comic to draw next haha.
Met Kenny two times this year, that’s a new record :D Just sad Peter and Flex couldn’t come, you guys must go with me next year, you hear!

Then when we got home, around 11PM Mims had invited us over for Tacos! Nom!

There won’t be a comic this week! Why, you ask? Instead there will be something special this month, since it’s almost christmas and all. So you’ll just have to wait and see.

I’ve been having hard time sleeping the last couple of days. And the little sleep I’ve gotten has been filled with bad dreams about people I don’t want to meet, weird situations, missfortunes, failures and Immortal Super Zombies with katanas.

Yes, it’s exactly what it looks like – fighting all eight Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 at once. You have access to all weapons, and after dying a few times you get E-tanks. You’re not really supposed to win in your first few hundred tries.

Also, if you don’t have a gamepad connected, default controls are retarded. A and B are A and S, Select (which is completely pointless) is D, Start is Q and… Up/Down/Left/Right are Y/B/G/J. WTF. Luckily, there’s a key config.

So far, I haven’t beaten it myself, but I’m starting to take down a FEW of them, at least. Also, going left at the start takes to a hatch where you can fight them underwater. Beware of spikes, though.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say that I took this week of from comic-drawing. Mostly since I wanted a free week, and also because I’m have an art-block. It seems I used up all my drawing-powers of doom on the Christmas images. The rest of this week, I’ll just rest and have fun and if anything comes to my mind, I wanna feel like I can draw it, not that I have to draw something else.

However, I’ll manage a comic next week, I hope.. I might have time.. might not.. because I’m going to London! Most friends already know this but still. Going on January 7th and returns on Januray 10th. I’m going there with Miriam and one of her friends.
The main reason we are going is a girl. A girl I became addicted to a few months ago and somehow, that also happened to Miriam after I introduced the girl to her. This girl is Julia Nunes! If you haven’t seen her work, check it out on youtube or similair places.

Miriam also bought me her CDs so now I only listen to that haha! Also we are going to see the Lion King Musical! It’ll be great! I wonder if I’ll manage to do all the things I want in 3 days!?

Hi people. A few months ago I got a muscle inflammation in my right jaw muscles but it only lasted for a week. My dentist told me I got it because of stress, since stress makes me grind my teeth in my sleep. To help me, I got a latex strip to keep in my mouth when I sleep. I don’t know if it helps, but I have a new muscle inflammation… in my left jaw muscle. This time it’s worse. I’ve called my dentist, going there this thursday. I also called my doctor but they all say the same thing: There’s nothing I can do. Woho. Painkillers works. For a while. The whole situation is a bit annoying. Since my mucles are inflammated they can’t stretch so I can only open my mouth a centimetre or so. That’s not alot. I can barely eat. Breakfast takes an hour. I’m having problems conctrating because of this since it hurts. Constantly. Quite alot. But I just felt like I had to rest yesterday so no comic. Blah. Hope it gets better T_T

UPDATE: The inflammation was caused by a wisdom tooth livin la vida loca or something. The dentist tried to clean it up yesterday but couldn’t. Today he tried the same thing with a syringe. Gawd it hurt. All of a sudden I feel this liquid in my mouth and when I get to rinse there’s alot of blood and pus. Tasted.. bad -_- and he exlpained he had found the infected area. Now it hurts alot, and I got the syringe with me. He wants me to do the same thing he did. .. makes me scared D: Friggin wisdom tooth!
