I made this about when winter came and thus the injury in my paw started acting up. This means that I can’t work as long on the pages as I’d like and is probably in pain when doing so. I’m not saying this for sympathy, I just wanted to explain why the art might be lacking in the following pages and ask you not to judge it too harshly.

Also, a subway station? This explanation might be sorta long.
The headquarters used to be an old military base that was rebuilt when the maverick war began. As it grew it needed more personal, cleaners, engineers and other service personal. These brings their families. Because of these civilian people there became need for stores, garbage collectors, sewage system and so on. And a more effective local transportation system. Which, in my mind, was built to the headquarters as well. Then stopped and rebuilt because of the risk of maverick insurgence from that possible weak spot.

I’d like to add that I havn’t mentioned this to none of the others, thus this place might not exist at all… but who cares?

I was going to say that “Actually, it’s an old Space Communications center”… but I just checked things on Google Maps. Goldstone was the complex I had previously considered to have been refitted into Maverickhunters Headquarters. But in the close vicinity – pretty much just down the road – is Fort Irwin, which is a military facility, and fits much better for the main HQ, and there’s an army airfield just east of it. The Goldstone complex is within the territory, and could also be part of the Hunters. Their observatory, or something.

So there you have it, people – the place is located here, and the green arrow points at the Goldstone Deep Space Communication Complex. And on a larger scale, Fort Irwin/MHHQ is right here.

Building an underground railroad for ease of transportation of people and materials is not at all farfetched.
