So, I’ve always said that us drawing/writing porn including our own characters is a pretty good sign of us not taking ourselves very seriously.
But how about someone else drawing porn including our characters?
I have no idea what that’s a sign of, but it’s more likely than you think.
While Sofie is of a different opinion, both me and Peter quite enjoy (and once again, mega not worksafe. Turn away if you’re underage.) Vanja’s World. But we’re male. And I have the excuse “no girlfriend”. Peter has no excuse, but he never does, so we don’t care.
Now, every year at Halloween, Vanja has this little contest. A feature of her site is (hyper not worksafe) Horrorlove Hotel. Booking a room, which means getting a three page pornographic comic with one of your characters and one of the characters there, is normally something that’ll set you back fifty bucks. But every year around Halloween, there is the opportunity to win a free room, by simply entering character information in the special free booking form.
Winner last year? Peter.
One of the two winners this year? Me.
Now, none of the comics actually exist yet, even though Peter won a year ago. We wait patiently and will not complain, because if you complain about something taking time when you’ve gotten it for free you’re a stupid prick.
What characters we entered I will not reveal here, but it’s not hard to find out. Seeing as how both Type and 666 are literally asexual, it’s a safe bet that it’s not them.
The comics will… probably be featured on this here site, in the Mature gallery, when they’re done. At least linked to.
As for me, what I’m most interested in is how another, unrelated person’s take on the character will be.
So yeah.

Why yes, it would be awesome if people searching for porn would end up here and actually find it wouldn’t it?
Come on. I joke around with it but I don’t want this to be turned into a cheap porn site. Fine if the words generate hits, but they don’t really find anything here do they?
People who search for porn don’t actually search for our page, and will therefor not read it.
Now look what I’ve done myself, saying porn so often will probably generate more hits, but then again, this blogentry probably does so already. -sigh-

I see your point, but there’s no risk. I don’t even think mentioning porn a few times will do much of anything for the page hits. Because even if we don’t count all the actual porn sites, I’m sure there’s a ton of sites containing writing about porn, such as newspaper articles and whatnot.
There’s absolutely nothing to get worried about, as the best case scenario is that it may perhaps net us another reader or two (people finding unrelated shit via association and figuring it’s good and worth looking at again actually happens a lot), and the worst case scenario is that we don’t. Noone’s going to start viewing us as a porn site because of this. Or the stuff we already have in the Mature gallery.
